This classic art wallpaper is a detail of the Nymphéas en fleur painting by Monet. It was one of the many works he painted inspired by his garden of Giverny between 1914 and 1917. Judging by the purple color of the water, it was probably painted in the afternoon. In 1956 the painting was bought by David and Peggy Rockefeller.
